Beyond Chance’s walls: Outdoor activities encourage real-world readiness for your child

At Chance we believe in the transformative power of application of our therapies in the real-world. That is why our outdoor activities program serves as an extension to the therapy session that your child attends at our center. The outdoor activities that we offer to children with special needs are a unique way to bridge the gap between therapy and real-world application of the therapy.

Our outdoor activities are thoughtfully designed in order to:

Enhance Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Through collaborative games, social interactions, and team work activities, children build confidence in expressing themselves and they will feel more comfortable when interacting with their peers and people around them.

Strengthen self-regulation:

Giving children a chance to experience and navigate some new or unfamiliar environments helps them to adapt to different situations and it works on training children to manager their emotions and handle impulsivity.

Offer real-world assessments:

Stepping away from the controlled environment of the center allows our therapists to observe and evaluate how the therapeutic techniques that they follow during their therapy sessions at the center translate into everyday situations. This allows continuous improvements and optimal therapeutic outcomes to our children.

Unleash Leadership Potential:

Outdoor activities provide opportunities for our children to take initiatives, solve problems, and in some cases, they may take the lead and guide their peers. This help them build their confidence and their leadership qualities.
